Henry Thompson Malone, educator, was born 4 July 1916, in Albany, Georgia, and died in October 1977. He was a graduate of Emory University (M.A., Ph. D.) and taught in high schools in South Carolina and Georgia. Malone was with Georgia State University for twenty-five years as a professor (1952-1961), as an assistant dean of arts and sciences (1952-1958), as director of development (1958- ), as director of alumni (1961- ), and dean of the School of General Studies (1970-1977).
