Rachel Theresa Paris collection, 1911-1976.

The collection consists of the papers of Rachel Theresa Paris from 1911-1976. The papers include correspondence, personal and family documents, a scrapbook, manuscripts, typescripts, clippings, photographs, school records, and a pair of antique reading glasses. Materials relate to the publishing of Silk Stocking Street and include proof-sheets, typed manuscripts, clippings, three copies of the book itself, and the actual typescript used by Ashantilly Press to publish the work. Correspondence and clippings concern publication. Also included is a Wedgewood plate picturing James Oglethorpe made for the Transylvania Club of Sandersville.
