Collection of papers written by Ripley while he was pastor of First Parish Church in Concord, Mass. Contains sermons, speeches, miscellaneous charges delivered between 1778 and 1837. Includes record of vote electing him as pastor on May 11, 1778, Constitution of the Library Company in Concord, dated 1784, ordination sermons for Rosewell Messinger, Samuel Ripley, William Emerson, Ralph Waldo Emerson, G.W. Hosmer, H.B. Goodwin, Barzillai Frost, funeral sermons for Abigail Adams of Acton, and later, her husband Moses Adams, and an exection sermon for Samuel Smith, a burglar.
