Images made by Clarence Kailin of members of the Afro-American community in Madison, Wis. during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Most of the images portray people at social gatherings, including parties, weddings, and gatherings of the Eastern Star Friendship Chapter No. 2 and the Capital City Masonic Lodge No. 2. Also included is a 1996 calendar produced by the Madison Times Weekly Newspaper that incorporates and identifies some of the photos.
