A film made in the Spring of 1942 by a member of the Kindschi family, neighbors of Harlan Stone's family in the Town of Sumpter (Sauk County, Wis.) documenting preparations prior to building the Badger Ordnance Works, a government munitions plant. Twelve and a half minutes in length, the film includes images of several condemned properties (all prosperous looking farms), a small cemetery, farmers removing equipment from barns in preparation for auctions, government officials appraising properties, a house being lifted and moved, and outbuildings being torn down. Stone provided the film and loaned his camera to the Kindschis, whose farm had been condemned by the government.
