Records of a group organized to protest Kent State University's cut in funding for the memorial to the students killed there in 1970, and to keep the shootings in the minds of the public. The records document their efforts concerning the memorial and the group's anti-Persian Gulf War activities. Included are flyers, newspaper clippings, notes, photographs of memorials in 1995, letters to the editor, and press releases.

The 20th Commemoration of the Kent State shootings, held in 1990, remains one of the largest-attended of all the annual gatherings. Preparations had begun a few years in advance, culminating in the creation of the May 4 20th Anniversary Commission, at the behest of President Michael Schwartz, in 1989.
