The results of a research project conducted in 1980-1981 by Philip Martin and funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities on the role of folk music in Midwestern Norwegian-American communities and related materials. The processed portion consists of a summary essay, some transcribed music, and 10 interviews with Norwegian immigrants and musicians some of which include musical renditions of traditional songs.
