Letters written by John M. Olin, a Madison, Wisconsin, attorney and lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Law School who was Prohibitionist candidate for governor in 1886 and later attorney for the Stalwart Republicans. Dealing for the most part with his public services, they contain frequent references to University affairs and political matters. Included also is incoming correspondence relating to his activities on behalf of the Madison Park and Pleasure Drive Association, 1894-1916, and docket books, 1879-1899, of his law cases.
