Negatives made by Joseph Brown and Joseph Brown and Sons photographers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, circa 1890-circa 1945. The majority of the images are of downtown Milwaukee buildings and businesses but the collection also includes images of houses and apartment buildings, boats, the Wisconsin State Fair, street scenes, agricultural scenes, parks, train yards, stockyards, and recreational activities. Buildings documented include the Pabst Theater, Crystal Vaudeville Theater, Zenith Theatre, Miller High Life Spa, Milwaukee Cheese Company, Stauz Cheese Company, Walgreen Drug, Edison Electric Illumination Co., Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Co., city hall, the auditorium, the public library, and the court house. There are also images of Pabst Park, Juneau Park, and Kosciusko Park.
