Promotional material issued by the Wisconsin Central Railroad Company Land Commissioner to publicize the sale of land in northern Wisconsin, primarily in Price, Taylor, and Ashland counties, owned by the railroad, circa 1895. One side of the material has text touting the abundance of resources available in northern Wisconsin, some of which was taken from "Northern Wisconsin: a hand-book for the homeseeker", edited by William A. Henry. On the reverse are illustrations of farming conditions, crops, forest resources, homesteads, small towns, and rural scenes in northern Wisconsin. A number of the illustrations are from photographs made by Harvey J. Perkins for "Northern Wisconsin: a hand-book for the homeseeker."
