Photographs and printed matter depicting employees and operations in the manufacture of heavy machinery at the Allis-Chalmers plant in Milwaukee (Wis.). Included are images of large castings, lathes, turbines, generators, and individual components. Also included are images of Allis-Chalmers equipment being used to build dams (Navajo Dam, Farmington, NM; Twin Falls Power Project, Labrador), clear land (Everglades, Fla.), and in the logging and defense industries (Boeing).
