Papers of a Socialist Workers Party presidential candidate and leading opponent of U.S. involvement in the War in Vietnam. The collection consists of correspondence and research files for his book "Out Now: A Participant's Account of the American Movement Against the Vietnam War" (1978) and records of various anti-war organizations, most notably the Fifth Avenue Vietnam Peace Parade Committee, New Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam, National Peace Action Coalition (NPAC), National Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy (SANE), and the Student Mobilization Committee (SMC). Photographs include images of protests against the Vietnam War, including Hiroshima Day in San Francisco in 1966, Afro-Americans Against the War in New York City in 1966, and a protester handing out leaflets in Hollywood in 1972.
