Vermont Fish and Game League scrapbook, 1891-1921.

Scrapbook of ephemera relating to the Vermont Fish and Game League, including annual reports, programs, broadsides, newspaper clippings, and form letters issued by the League. Many of the items deal with the enforcement of wildlife laws, including several large, cloth broadsides detailing Vermont wildlife regulation. As well, the scrapbook contains ephemera relating to social events sponsored by the League, including outings and excursions. Of special interest is the September Outing of 1901, which featured Vice President Theodore Roosevelt as the after dinner speaker. It was at this meeting that he heard of the shooting of President McKinley. Loose items from the scrapbook have been removed to Misc 1457.
