Mills Bee Lane IV typescript for Dear Mother... and collection of Civil War letters, 1861-1977.

This collection consists of typed copies of Civil War letters of Georgia residents and a typescript of Mills Bee Lane IV's Dear Mother. The letters, 1861-1863, were written by Captain Shepard G. Pryor. Pryor served in the Confederate States Army in the Muckalee Guards, Company A of the 12th Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Most of the letters were written by him to his wife; some letters were written from his wife and family members to Pryor. The collection includes a photocopy of the typescript for Lane's Dear Mother, don't grieve about me. If I get killed, I'll only be dead: Letters from Georgia Soldiers in the Civil War.
