Two of the "worksheets by Nelson Algren show his efforts to criticize the Beatniks...The last two sheets are from an unpublished story satirizing his brief stint at movie writing..." The last page consists of the description of these worksheets quoted from in the above. All four worksheets were crumpled before they were photocopied, and while the first two are legible, the other two are not easily deciphered.

Nelson Algren, original name Nelson Ahlgren Abraham was born on March 28, 1909 in Detroit, Michigan and died May 9, 1981 in Sag Harbor, New York.
