A collection of the panegyric type but with somewhat varied structure, containing lives of the holy fathers and saints as well as homilies by various church fathers. Included are the martyrdoms of St. Mary of Egypt, St. George, St. Euthymius the Great, Pope Sylvester I, St. Basil the Great, St. Macarius the Egyptian (by Serapion), life of St. Antony the Great (by St. Athanasius of Alexandria), life of St. John the Baptist, etc. Also homilies on various subjects by St. John of Damascus, St. Gregory of Nyssa, Nectarius, St. Germanus, St. Anastasius Sinaita, St. Cyril of Alexandria, and others. Leaves 345b-346a, contents of the manuscript. Inscription on leaf 346b about the donation of the manuscript. Another minor inscription on the same leaf below. Several inscriptions by Proabbot Sava from 1957, 1961, 1962 (leaves 54a, 281a, 336a, 346a, 347a), with important information regarding the recent history of Hilandar Monastery. Ornamented headings and initials.
