Frederick Albert Gutheim (1908-1993) was a city planner, urban historian and architectural critic, and professor at The George Washington University from 1971-79, and director of the University's graduate program in historic preservation from 1976-79. Charles C. Wall became Superintendent of George Washington's Mount Vernon in 1937, after the death of his supervisor Harrison Dodge. Wall described the Superintendent’s job in a book he coauthored with Gerald W.
