Arranged in six groups: I. Vocal scores (4). II. Chorus parts (2). III. Orchestra parts (14). IV. Librettos (5). V. Promptbooks (1). VI. Dialogue parts (1 in 3 vols.). Vocal scores are in French, published by Brandus (Paris, 1879?, pl. no. B. & Cie. 12,515), one of which is arranged as a stage manager's guide and carrying playbills and newspaper clippings from the Dec. 10, 1887 performance at the New York Casino Theatre pasted in. The chorus parts are mimeos, in English. The orchestra parts are engraved music printed by Brandus (n.d., pl. no. 12, 517). The librettos include three in English published by Ditson (Boston, c1887) and two in German by Bote & Bock (Berlin, 1880) bearing the title "Die Feindin der Cardinals." The promptbook is manuscript, in English, and carries the indication "property of Maurice Hageman" and the parallel titles "Trompette," "The cardinal's foe, " and "Madelon." The dialogue part is in three volumes, in English, and is typescript.
