Der Feldprediger [collection] : Operette in drei Akten / von H. Wittmann und A. Wohlmuth ; Musik von Carl Millöcker. 1884-1900.

Arranged in eight groups: I. Vocal scores (156). II. Vocal scores--Selections (2). III. Vocal parts (56). IV. Chorus parts (5). V. Librettos (5). VI. Promptbooks (45 in 47 parts). VII. Dialogue parts (173). VIII. Accompanying material (11). All materials are in English and in German. Vocal scores, in German, are the imprint of Cranz (Hamburg & Brüssels, 1885?). Most copies contain holograph or manuscript English translation, are lacking preliminaries, and have been rebound in Tams folders. The selections consist of two manuscript copies, in English, for "Read the answer in the stars," probably a number interpolated into the English adaptation titled "The black hussar." Vocal parts include a set of German manuscripts, four sets of English manuscripts (one part, for the French officer, lacks text, and two parts correspond to "Read the answer in the stars"), and eleven mimeod parts. Chorus parts are also manuscript mimeos, in English, but containing handwritten German text. Librettos, in English, are for the Mc Caull Opera Comique Co. and include two imprints: Lee & Walker (Philadelphia, c1885) and the Wallack Theatre (?) (New York, c1885). Both attribute the English text to Sydney Rosenfeld. German promptbooks include holographs by Gustav Lewy (Wien, n.d.), a holograph "Regiebuch" by Ch. Reisser & M. Werthner (Wien, n.d.), a manuscript copy in three parts, and twenty manuscript mimeos, most of which are unassembled and occur as 18 fascicles. English promptbooks include five manuscripts, seven typed copies (two with c1897), and eight copies consisting of holograph text and mimeod stage directions on facing pages. Dialogue parts include German manuscripts in at least two sets, one of which bears the stamp "Theater-Liehbibliothek von Kühling & Güttner, Berlin."
