Rose Greely papers [manuscript], 1909-1961.

The collection contains 657 architectural drawings by Greely for various residences, estates and gardens, chiefly in Washington, D.C. and nearby surburban Virginia and Maryland. With these are her client files of correspondence pertinent to her projects. Miscellaneous files contain articles and talks by her; biographical information; personal correspondence; photographs; her thesis at the Cambridge School of Domestic and Landscape Architecture (Smith College); a sketchbook; and miscellaneous printed material re garden tours. Projects represented by drawings include Washington Cathedral Garden, St. Timothy's School, the Cosmos Club, a memorial to King Albert in the Place de la Liberté, Brussels, Rock Creek Park, the Madeira School, the Army, Navy, Marine Corps Country Club, and the Masonic Memorial Garden, Falls Church. Also residences for David K.E. Bruce, William Durward Connor, Julian Larcombe Schley, William Randolph Hearst, Jr., Henry Cabot Lodge, and Archer A. Vandergrift.
