This collection consists of 6 notebooks and 1 envelope of newspaper clippings for national news, local births, marriages and obituaries. The national clippings included are some clippings from Franklin D. Roosevelt's funeral, WWII, Washington State Governor's Inaugural for Mon C. Wallgren. The local clippings include articles from Mansfield, OH; Olympia, WA and Washington State. Their are a large number of local obituaries of Olympia, WA. The scrapbooks include a few family items and personal correspondence. The family items included lists of births, marriages and deaths of the related families of Atherton, Carter, Figley, Glidden and Schultz.

Christine Schultz Glidden was born in 1882. She was raised in Mansfield, Ohio. Arnold "Arno" F. Glidden was born 2 November 1883 to Frank and Mary C. Glidden in Washington State. Frank Glidden was a logger in Thurston County, WA. Christine Schultz married Arno F. Glidden on Nov. 7, 1906. It seems that Arno and Christine didn't have any surviving children.
