ALS, 1897 August 7 : Beverly Farms, Massachusetts, to Lady Castleton.

A fine letter from the correspondence between Holmes and the lady he met during a trip to Ireland. He lists the books he has been reading, and relates of his enjoyment outdoors. "The great experiences of life are war, women and a storm at sea and mountains." He ends with a postscript containing a rare reference to his wife.
