Abstract

Records of an ecclesiastical council held in Concord, Mass., in 1772 to resolve a longstanding dispute in the Concord First Parish Congregational Church. The council considered several articles against the Rev. William Emerson in a dispute centering on the church's refusal to admit Joseph Lee to membership in the late 1760's.
