La traviata [collection] / libretto di Francesco Maria Piave ; musica di Giuseppe Verdi. 1860-1923.

Arranged in six groups: I. Vocal scores (33). II. Full scores--Selections (3). III. Chorus scores (1). IV. Orchestra parts (129). V. Chorus parts (7). VI. Promptbooks (2). The vocal scores include Italian editions by Escudier (Paris, 186-?), Orlando Vico (Napoli, 1850-70?), and Ricordi (Milano, 185-?); Italian/English editions by Boosey (London, 18--?), Novello (London, 18--?), Schirmer (New York, c1926), and Ditson (Boston, c1859); a French edition by Escudier (186-?), and a German/Italian edition by Cranz (Hamburg, 188-?). Three of the vocal scores are labelled "Stage manager's guide" (one each of Boosey, Novello, and Schirmer) and contain interleaved pages of handwritten stage directions and other annotations. The full scores are for the stage band parts of Act I and were published by Ricordi (pl. nos. 21367 and 21374), as was the chorus score. The orchestra parts occur as two distinct sets. The first contains 48 parts published by Ricordi (pl. nos. 21334-51, 21365 & 21367), including parts for the stage band and a vln. principale part with vocal and instrumental cues. The second set contains 84 manuscript parts in Tams folders, the majority of which are single numbers for the stage band. The chorus parts include five copies published by Ricordi and two holograph parts in Tams folders. Both promptbooks are manuscript and in German ("Die Dame mit den Camelien"); one copy bears the name of Ferd. Krueger.
