Historical discourse, 1882-1884.

"Historical discourse delivered to the First Congregational Society at Harvard, October 22, 1882" by Rev. Seth Chandler, minister of the First Congregational Society at Shirley, Mass. The discourse, in the form of a sermon, gives the history of the First Church in Harvard, Mass., and exhorts the parishioners to show their gratitude for their rich heritage by good deeds. Collection includes a letter from Chandler to Dr. Samuel A. Green (1884); a printed version of the discourse with an appendix by Green is bound into the volume.
