Legal documents and correspondence of John Townsend Coffin of England and his son Isaac Tristram Coffin with William Sohier of Boston. Sohier and Harrison Ritchie were trustees of a fund established by the will of Admiral Sir Isaac Coffin to the benefit of John T. and Isaac T. Coffin, his heirs. Part of the fund's income derived from real estate in Brighton, Mass. (annexed to Boston in 1873), and Boston.
