Fra Diavolo [collection] : a comic opera in three acts / libretto by E. Scribe ; music by D.F.E. Auber. 1830-1929?

Arranged in seven groups: I. Vocal scores (29). II. Orchestra parts (51). III. Chorus parts (14). IV. Vocal parts (11). V. Librettos (3). VI. Promptbooks (17). VII. Dialogue parts (29). Included in this collection are published materials as well as manuscript and typescript items. Materials are in French, English, German, and Italian. The nine different vocal scores include publications by Boosey, B. Schott, Ditson, Novello, Ricordi, and Brandus. The collection also includes three published librettos: a German translation by Carl Blum (Mainz: B. Schott, 1830), an English version by Rophino Lacy (New York: S. French, n.d.), and the Hess Opera Co. version (also Lacy) published at the Theatre Ticket Office, New York (1873). Annotations indicating changes in music or dialogue, and the details of stage direction, appear frequently throughout the materials.
