Elizabeth Stewart Waring collection, 1843-1919.

This collection consists of papers from Elizabeth Waring's family collection. They include a transcription of an ordinance to lay off lots in the South Common of Savannah, Georgia, 1841; the 1852 will of Minda Baker; a letter from William to Sarah, written from Camp Claghorn, 1862, regarding the fall of Fort Pulaski and family news (William was in the Chatham Artillery); Catherine E. Barnard's 1901 will; a photograph of Troop A of the Georgia Hussars at Camp Harris, 1916; and the last issue of "The Stars and Stripes," the official newspaper of the AEF in World War I, dated June 13, 1919.
