Stephen J. Goldfarb is an Atlanta resident and retired employee of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library. He holds a Ph.D. in the history of science and technology from Case Western Reserve University. He taught history at Spelman College in Atlanta, and has written scholarly articles on the Leo Frank Case, New Deal Art, and the technology of steam engines. Bulloch Hall was built in Roswell, Georgia in 1839 by the enslaved of Major James Stephens Bulloch and his wife Martha Stewart Elliott Bulloch. The historic house, designed by architect Willis Ball of Connecticut, is an example of Greek Revival architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
