These works provide the documentary background to the establishment of the monastery and its domain on Mount Athos and abroad. The most important are two chrysoboulls by Alexios III Angelus, 2 by Michael VIII Paleologus, several by the emperors Andronicos II and Andronicos III, and 2 by John V Paleologus.
