The papers consist of ships' manifests, disbursements, invoices, accounts, and correspondence with Boston merchants Edward Austin, Samuel Austin, Henry Oxnard, Charles E. Endicott, John James Dixwell, and the trading companies of Augustine Heard & Co., Baring Brothers & Co., and Minot & Hooper, among others.
