Louise Evelina du Pont (1877-1958) was the daughter of Henry A. du Pont (1838-1926) and Pauline Foster du Pont (1849-1902). Mary Pauline Foster was the daughter of Herman Ten Eyck Foster (d. 1869) and Mary Pauline Lentilhon Foster (1825-1849) of New York. She was born at the family estate, Lakeland, near Geneva.
