Margaretta Hare Morris letter to Dr. B. Coates, 1841 July 14.

Margaretta Hare Morris writes to Dear sir, Dr. B. Coates, 14 July 1841, apologizing for troubling him, with an account of her observations of a species of "Tipulous fly" (probably a variety of Crane fly) depositing eggs on a grain of wheat, which she considers important evidence for proof of a theory. Partial editing is evident, apparently in preparation of part of the text for publication. Includes integral envelope, wax seal, and notation of receipt.
