Christ Episcopal Church in Napoleonville, La., was designed by Frank Wills and built in 1853 in the Gothic Revival style. Using approximated $10,000 in locally raised funds, the church was constructed by George Arment, a local carpenter. The building is constructed of Louisiana cypress and brick, made on Woodlawn Plantation by Colonel W.W. Pugh, who also supplied the labor for the construction. Christ Episcopal Church was built just outside the corporate limits of Napoleonville, La. in 1853 ten years after Rev. Leonidas Polk began assembling Episcopal congregations in south Louisiana.
