Jorge Amado, Brazil's all-time best-selling author, became a well-loved national and much-acclaimed international novelist. Gerald M. Moser taught at The Pennsylvania State University from 1949-1978. As professor of romance languages, he taught French, Spanish and its literatures, Portuguese language and literature, and Brazilian and Luso-African literatures.
