Brown-Clapp Papers, 1830-1892, bulk: 1892.

Correspondence and reprints from the Massachusetts Historical Society Proceedings relating to two gifts to the Society in 1892. The first was a carved wooden goblet given by Sarah Alvord Brown in accordance with the will of her first husband, Dr. Buckminster Brown. The second was a list of prominent subscribers to a dinner held by the Society in 1830 in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of Boston. The list, bequeathed by journalist William Warland Clapp and delivered by his wife, Caroline Dennie Clapp, is included.
