This collection includes the historic files of Frank B. Gill, an officer and historian of the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company, and the Union Pacific Railroad. Gill was the author of numerous articles on the history of railroads in the Northwest. The files contain research notes from newspapers, copies of correspondence and related documents regarding the Oregon Railway & Navigation Company, Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company, the Union Pacific Railroad, and other western lines; and correspondence between Gill and other regional railroad officers and historians. There are also scrapbooks with articles, clippings, and railroad memorabilia.
