Bookbinder, painter. Rudolph Gottfried Zollinger, a native of Zurich, Switzerland, came to the United States where he first settled in Wisconsin. He lived at the Shaker community at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky from 1886 to 1887 before moving to New Jersey. While at Pleasant Hill, Zollinger worked in the North or Garden family where he was joined by his son, Emil and possibly other members of his family.
