Annual student-organized festival and open-house held each spring. The first VEISHEA took place in 1922. It was a consolidation of the divisional (divisions later became colleges) celebrations at Iowa State which included May Day, St. Patrick's Day, and the Ag Carnival as well as the night shows and open houses for all divisions: Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, Home Economics, and Industrial Science.
