Correspondence with Nicholas Biddle and Aaron Clement, 1839-1845.

James W. Thomson, corresponding secretary of the Newcastle County Agricultural Society, writes two letters on behalf of his society to Nicholas Biddle, dated September 21, 1839 and January 10, 1841. In the second item Thomson asks Biddle about the state aid provided to agriculture in Pennsylvania. Biddle responds to this in a letter dated February 17, 1841. The fourth item is a letter dated October 22, 1845 from Thomson to Aaron Clement regretting that poor health prevented him from attending the Philadelphia Society's exhibition and dinner.
