Correspondence with Carl Zigrosser, 1930-1932, n.d.

In 1930, William Sprattling, Weyhe Gallery and Mrs. J. B. Murphy (Ray Slater Murphy) undertook to publish a portfolio of reproductions of Mexican murals by Diego Rivera. The project became quite complicated, and the portfolio was nearly 2 years in the making. Ganymed Graphische Anstalt GMBH was contracted to do the photography and collotype plates for the project, and then to prepare the portfolios. There were ongoing problems with the photographer, international customs, language difficulties, cost overruns and format changes.
