Composer and songwriter Jerome Kern (1885-1945) is best remembered for his Broadway and film work including the lovely melodies from Showboat, "Old Man River," "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," and "Bill," as well as standards such as "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" and "The Way You Look Tonight". The collection consists primarily of show music, including some holograph sketches.
