Correspondence with Gustav Mahler and Alma Mahler, 1895-1931.

The 7 transcribed letters from Gustav Mahler to Anna von Mildenburg are dated 1895 to 1896; one of them (dated 8 December 1895) is only a partial transcription. The transcriptions are evidently in the hand of Bahr-Mildenburg. These 7 letters were all published in Franz Willnauer's edition of Gustav Mahler's letters: 'Mein lieber Trotzkopf, meine süsse Mohnblume: Briefe an Anna von Mildenburg (Wien: Zsolnay, 2006). The remaining letter from Gustav Mahler (photographic copy) is dated 29 September 1897 and is on Hof-Operntheater letterhead. Of the total 4 items from Bahr-Mildenburg, 1 is addressed to Gustav Mahler (undated; published in Willnauer's edition with the date 18 August 1902?); and the remaining 3 items are addressed to Alma Mahler (1 dated in 1913 and 2 in 1931).

12 items (21 leaves).
