12 anonymous poems or groups of small poems, 11 in French and one in Italian, all in different hands. Three are titled as chansons; two are simply referred to as vers, one about the Jesuits and the other about the Marechal de Villeroy; the one in Italian is an impromptu; one is a description of Madrid; one is a fable of the shepherd and the dogs, and one, which is printed, is an epigramme about an lawyer whose name is withheld.

In 1534 Ignatius of Loyola, a Basque and former soldier, met in Paris with six companions to take a private vow of poverty and one to place themselves at the disposition of the pope.
