Farberman remembers Stokowski contacting him about recording his Evolution; and his rehearsals and premier of Farberman's Symphony no. 1 with the Houston Symphony Orchestra. He mentions Henry Cowell who was at the performance which included a performance of one of Cowell's works as well.
