Roy Harris discusses attending Stokowski's rehearsals in Philadelphia and Stokowski's performance of an early work for strings. Interview was resumed on Oct. 2 where Harris discusses Stokowski's understanding of the timbre of the instruments of an orchestra; Koussevitzky's rehearsals and performances of Harris's works; and tells an anecdote about Toscanini's temper.
