Hovhaness discusses Stokowski's premier of his Symphony no. 1 with the NBC Symphony in 1942; socializing with Stokowski after concerts; Hovhaness's Mysterious Mountain and other works. Hovhaness remembers 17 works of his that Stokowski premiered. Daniel's research notes include photocopies of 27 items from Stokowski to Hovhaness, 1954-1973, plus biographies, press releases, and clippings, folders 211-214.
