Ricci discusses the experience of playing as a soloist under Stokowski, with reference to a performance of Brahms' Double Concerto which was his first performance with Stokowski. He remembers hearing youth orchestra concerts. He mentions Szell, Reiner, Monteux, Munch, Bernardino Molinari, Harold Coletta, Rolf Persinger, Oscar Shumsky, and Yehudi Menuhin.
