Interview with A. R. Schwartz, an attorney and a Democratic member of the Texas Senate from Galveston. He discusses his experiences and personal views as a member of the Sixty-first Legislature. Schwartz also talks about the one-year versus two-year budget, revenue bills, welfare spending, the need for constitutional revision, the urban-rural conflict, minimum wages for migrant workers, educational legislation, the unrest on college campuses, his personal legislation, and Governors John Connally and Preston Smith.

Senator Hugh Q.
