Logbooks, accounts, stock certificates, passenger lists, freight receipts and other documents relating to the shipping industry. Items of note include logs, accounts, correspondence and other papers of the brig Little George, involving Henry Harvey, Timothy Green, and Swartout, Dumont & Co., 1807-1809; logs of the yachts Francis and Wanderer, W.T. Cushing, Captain, 1857 and 1859; and papers of the ship Congress, signed by Franklin Pierce, 1856. Items related to whaling include a log of the bark Coral, 1871-1877; and a crew list of the brig Daisy, 1912.
